Work is progressing on the new downhill trail. David is finishing up with the transition for the rock slab drop and I made more forward progress today clearing quite a bit of new trail.
No photos today but I figured I would show a preview of the trail through a video walkthrough. Professional commentary included. Dillynn was my test rider.
This is the gap right after the rock slab.

This is a video of all the new trail progress since the last video. This video starts where the last video ended. The video make the trail look really flat. but don't worry, it's all downhill.

Wen't out this weekend to do some work on the trail, I was not able to get a whole lot done myself but thankfully David has been getting out there regularly and putiing in some bood hours. My camera battey dies so I didnt get many pictures either. David has smoothed out some secions of trail that were killing speed, alsmost finished the left handed berm on the top section, addied another small rock drop/jump, and built a transition into the steep section before the fireroad crossing. I spent my time clearing out the ru-in for the rock slab drop, cleared a ton of rocks away and made a good entry onto the rock.
Everything is looking good and some of the guys are going out tomorrow evening to do some work on the rock slab transition. Here are the few pics I took.

As some already know, us Tulsa boys recently lost our beloved Turkey Mountain freeride area. Although Turkey was a great spot the stunts required a lot of work and maintenance. Moving forward we knew we still needed somewhere to get our adrenaline fix. We knew of a spot that would be perfect for a downhill trail with a paved shuttle road and about as much elevation as Tulsa has to offer.
With the growing season quickly approaching we are going to try to work hard to have the trail cleared in the next few months. I will keep this site updated with our progress. I think this trail has a lot of potential to be a truly good DH trail.
Here is the entry into the trail, it starts off with a stup up with a big roller on the back side.

Here is the backside of the step up. It has a nice backside to gain some speed.

Next you come into a small right hand berm that lines you up for a small jump

Then you continue single track trail for a little while and take a left into this line with a couple small rock drops/jumps.

Then you come into this left hander that will eventually have a berm on it

Left hander takes you into a small section of trail that drops down very steeply into a small wooden bridge. You should be able to jump out of the brige and down into another steep section.

Looking down from the end of the bridge. (the brige is just sitting in place, we have not screwed it together yet or braced it)

Looking back up from the section you just came down with the bridge

Then you will cross a fireroad that will put you into a large rock slab that will be a drop. Should be a very cool section

At the end of the rock slab looking down

Looking back up at the rock slab. We will be building a landing for this drop. It will probably be built all the way under the rock so it can be hit by anyone.

Thats all we have for now. We need to spend an afternoon hiking the rest of the trail out. We have several options and we need to figure out which will be the best.
Keep checking the site for updates as I will be updating as we go.
